| Culp Baubles Rings Click thumbnail to view image: This two-finger ‘Orange Bowl’ ring combines elements from previous art pieces Peeling Skin, 2006, and Life on the Inside, 2009. Composed of a small hand-smithed and textured copper bowl, brass rod and tubing, dehydrated clementine peels, and epoxy resin, this sculptural ring presents symbolism from its predecessors in a comfortably wearable form, size 6.5. $135.00 Grab the brass ring! Made entirely of brass, this ring stacks two shiny discs atop one another, separated by tubing. The ring shank, size 7.25, is made of brass rod. $45.00 As a child, I was frightened by Shel Silverstein’s poem "Thumb Face" and its accompanying illustration, which depicted a laughing face on a child's thumb. Nonetheless, this fear never deterred me from wearing eyeballs on my fingers later in life. The ring face is copper (cut out, puffed, and planished by me), set with a small glass eye and backed with yellow polymer clay. The shank and “pegs” holding the eye up are made of brass rod. The ring shank is a size 8.25. SOLD OUT |
